Before their tenure at Goodwill Industries, Jim Meehan worked at Virginia Industries for the Blind where they held the position of Deputy Commissioner from August 1999 to September 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing over 20 locations throughout Virginia, leading manufacturing, retail operations, and service sector business lines. During their time at Virginia Industries for the Blind, they successfully increased overall revenues to $30M, with a 23% increase over four years. Jim also introduced four new products in the manufacturing division, resulting in a sales increase of 39%. Additionally, Jim established five new Service Division operations, contributing to a revenue growth of 225%.
Jim Meehan's career started in the U.S. Navy, where they served as a Supply Officer from 1988 to 1998.
