Internal Medicine is a discipline of medicine devoted to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting adults. Internists spend 3 or more years of residency training after medical school involved in intensive study learning how to prevent, diagnosis, and treat diseases that affect adults. An internist can treat you for something as routine as the flu or fatigue, or provide in-depth care for diseases such as diabetes, cancer, or heart disease. Internists often coordinate care with the many subspecialists a patient might see in the process of treating an illness.

Dr. Mileur is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the UT Health Science Center in Houston. He has gained valuable experience over the past 8 years managing patients in the hospital when they are at their most vulnerable. A passion for people, whether at the hospital or in the office, is what drives Dr. Mileur. He and his wife Christie, who is also a physician, are involved in their church and are happy to have a growing family. He enjoys spending time cycling, hunting and playing with his kids.

Erica Burgett is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in adult primary care. She likes to take a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness. Erica holds a Bachelor of Philosophy degree with an emphasis on environmental ethics from Miami University of Ohio. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing Degrees, and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Pace University in New York City. Erica's more than 10 years of clinical experience includes adult primary care and internal medicine, women's health and family planning. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two young children, husband and close group of friends. Other than family and friends, her great loves are live music, good fiction and travel.
