Nathan Depoint

Nathan Depoint is the Chief Producing Officer at Austin Opera. Nathan has been with the company since January of 2017, serving first as the Director of Operations before being promoted to their current role. In their time with the company, Nathan has been responsible for critical aspects of both the business and artistic operations of Austin Opera. This has included managing the implementation of the organization's operational plan, serving as project director for the producing aspects of Opera ATX, supporting the office of the Artistic Director in budgeting and execution, overseeing the company's technology and physical plant operations, providing company-wide HR oversight, and serving as a company representative to external constituencies.

Prior to joining Austin Opera, Nathan worked in various other arts administration roles. Nathan has a deep passion for opera and believes that it has the ability to touch people's lives in a truly special way. Nathan is excited to continue to build Austin Opera into one of the leading opera companies in the country.

Nathan Depoint has a Master of Arts and a MM from Wichita State University in Opera Performance, and a BA from John Brown University in Applied Voice.
