Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, contributing to the development of hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris held the position of firmware engineer at the same company, where firmware and diagnostic tools for these systems were developed. Prior experience includes work as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational devices, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, assisting in student labs and evaluations. Earlier in Chris's career, the role of electronics engineer at Grindcom involved developing control systems for forestry harvester units, encompassing circuit design and software development. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
