Austin Women in Technology (AWT)

Austin Women in Technology (AWT) is a professional organization providing a venue for women in technology to network and assist others who share their interests and passions. Many of the founding members of AWT are trailblazers. They have the hard-won experience of being firsts, including: the first in their families to attend college the first to study in a particular technical field or work for a technology company the first woman on a management team, board or project the first to start a company We continue to provide a support and intellectual system for women pushing their own boundaries, whether they be the first, fiftieth or five hundreth to achieve their goals. AWT accomplishes this purpose by building a visible community of individuals supporting women in technology. We offer valuable programming that enables networking and helps members learn more about a variety of topics of interest to women in technology. Members can also take advantage of the opportunity to work side-by-side with other intelligent, community-minded women as part of our volunteer committees and board. The cornerstones of the AWT mandate are: CONNECT with Austin's fun, successful, intelligent, tech-minded community at events and through social media. LEARN something new at one of our informative presentations or interactive discussions about technology, careers, community and the world. GROW personally and professionally by delving into interesting topics with a motivated community. LEAD through committee and officer roles in the organization, opportunities in the community or by mentoring members.
