Sam Julien

Sam Julien currently serves as the Head of Cyber Defence at Australia Post, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this role, Sam held various leadership positions in cybersecurity, including Principal Security Designer at NAB, where responsibilities included leading large-scale projects, and Cyber Advisor at Bank of Queensland. Sam's experience also encompasses roles such as Head of SOC and IR at Coupang, and Vice President at Trustwave, among others. Notably, as Global Security Operations & CSIRT Leader at ANZ, Sam managed the Security Operations and Incident Response functions and designed multi-tier Security Operations Centers. Sam's career began at NTT and PSiNet, with a foundational education in Business Administration and Management, earning a Diploma between 2006 and 2010.
