The Association is the primary resource for breeding and promoting alpacas and alpaca products, providing members with the tools, information and support they need.

The board of directors of Australian Alpaca Association Ltd. has a history of research and consulting experience in the areas of demography and social research. The current board members have experience working with Elm Consulting Australia, the Regional Australia Institute, and the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth. They also hold degrees from the Australian Demographic and Research Institute and the School of Demography at the Australian National University.
