John Crouch has worked in various roles within the media industry. John started their career at Pagemasters in 2008, where they served as Deputy Production Editor, overseeing the timely production of high-impact pages for features sections. In 2013, they joined Australian Associated Press (AAP) as a News producer, Subeditor, and News blogger. John played a key role in subediting breaking news copy, monitoring and updating stories, and ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate content to clients. In 2019, they became the AAP AM desk chief of staff, responsible for writing and commissioning broadcast-friendly news items. Additionally, John worked as a Live news blogger for The Daily Telegraph on a contract basis from 2015 to 2016, providing rolling morning news coverage.

John Crouch obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Journalism from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). John pursued their education at QUT from 1995 to 2017.
