Lisa Davies is an accomplished journalist and media executive with extensive experience in the Australian news industry. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Associated Press since February 2022, Lisa previously held several key editorial roles at The Sydney Morning Herald from January 2012 to November 2021, including Editor, Deputy News Director, and Investigations Editor. Additionally, Lisa was the Chief Court Reporter at The Daily Telegraph from October 2004 to October 2011, and began their career as a cadet journalist and journalist with Australian Associated Press from March 2001 to October 2004. Lisa Davies holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Queensland and graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2021.
