Robin Wilson

Robin Wilson has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology.

Currently, Robin is serving as the Head of Information Security at AFG since January 2023. In this role, Robin is responsible for overseeing the company's information security operations.

Prior to AFG, Robin worked at Rio Tinto as the Global Manager of Cyber Security from December 2021 to January 2023. In this role, Robin provided leadership to regional leads and teams of Cyber Security Advisors, supporting global mining operations and providing guidance on IT cyber security.

From 2018 to 2021, Robin worked at Commonwealth Bank in various roles, including Principal Security Architect and later Enterprise Architect. As a managing Principal, Robin led teams in Perth and Sydney and also managed the Cyber Security Advisory team in Perth.

Before Commonwealth Bank, Robin worked at Asterisk Information Security as a Security Consultant from 2017 to 2018. In this role, Robin provided services related to information security, such as influencing executive management and creating security strategies.

Prior to Asterisk, Robin worked at Schroders as the Global Network Security Lead from 2016 to 2017. In this role, Robin was responsible for the network security strategy and engineering for the company.

From 2013 to 2016, Robin worked at Rabobank as an Associate Director in ITI GCS, where they managed and led global network security strategy, architecture, engineering, and operations. Robin also held various other roles at Rabobank, including Network & Voice Engineer and Network Analyst.

Before Rabobank, Robin had multiple contract roles at companies such as AT&T, NTT, Madge.web, Energis, Telewest, and iDesk, where they worked as a NOC Engineer, Data Analyst, and 2nd Line User Support.
