Girls High Performance Manager (coates Talent League) at Australian Football League

Aidan Edwards has a diverse work experience in the fields of sports and fitness. Aidan first started working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Murray Bushrangers in 2013, where they planned and implemented training programs for the Under 16s and 18s teams. Aidan also provided individualized programs for injured players and had various game day roles. Aidan then joined the AFL - Australian Football League in 2018 as a High Performance Manager for the Coates Talent League Girls, where they focused on conditioning and skills exposure for the players, as well as providing testing data to stakeholders. In 2017, Aidan worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Geelong Grammar School, where they trained students individually and in groups, focusing on functional movement skills. Aidan later returned to Geelong Grammar School in 2015 as a Strength and Conditioning/Football Intern, where they again worked with students on their movement skills programs. Most recently, Aidan joined SPC Australia in 2021 as a Production Operator.

Aidan Edwards has a diverse education history. Aidan obtained their Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science degree from Deakin University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma of Sport Development at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE in 2013, specializing in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management. Aidan also pursued further education at Deakin University, earning a Master's degree in Applied Sport Science from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Aidan has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. Aidan obtained certifications such as Level 1: Strength and Conditioning Coach from the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) in November 2020, CPR from Smartlink Training in October 2019, Level 1 Youth and Senior Coach from the AFL (Australian Football League) in November 2017, and Level 1 Sports Trainer from Sports Medicine Australia in April 2017. Aidan also holds certifications in Cert. 4 in Fitness from eFit in March 2017, Level 1 Community Athletics Coach from Athletics Australia in June 2015, and Cert. 3 in Fitness from Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) in November 2013.

Aidan recently completed the Level 2 Anti-Doping Course offered by Sport Integrity Australia in October 2021, further expanding their expertise. Aidan also holds a Level 2 First Aid certification from Smartlink Training, obtained in October 2019.
