Chelsea Roffey

Umpiring Growth & Development Coordinator ‑ Diversity & Media at Australian Football League

Chelsea Roffey has extensive work experience in various roles related to the Australian Football League (AFL). In 2004, they started their career as a goal umpire for the AFL. Chelsea also worked as an editor and journalist for Media Giants from an unknown date in 2008 until January 2020. In 2013, Chelsea began working as a freelance speaker, workshop designer, and facilitator. Further, in 2014, they served as a Churchill Fellow for The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, where they explored strategies for influencing social change to empower girls. Most recently, Chelsea has taken up the role of Umpiring Growth & Development Coordinator - Diversity & Media for the AFL starting in January 2020.

Chelsea Roffey began their education journey in 1999 when they enrolled at Griffith University. Chelsea pursued a Bachelor's degree in Music and completed their studies in 2001. Afterward, in 2003, they joined QUT (Queensland University of Technology) where they focused on Journalism and obtained another Bachelor's degree in 2004.
