Tim Nield holds the position of Head of Community at Essendon Football Club since May 2024. Previously, Tim has had a significant impact within the AFL - Australian Football League, serving in various leadership roles since January 2018, including National Disability Inclusion Participation Lead and National Disability Inclusion Manager, and overseeing the AllPlay Manager initiative. Tim contributed to the development of a framework aimed at the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in NAB AFL Auskick. Prior to these roles, Tim was the Inclusion (All Abilities) Manager at AFL Victoria and held multiple positions at Disability Sport and Recreation, including Manager - Programs and Acting Manager - Sport & Recreation. Tim began a career in sports with the Western Jets Football Club as a Sports Trainer and was involved as a volunteer with Max Events & Marketing. Academically, Tim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Human Movement and Sports Administration from Victoria University and completed additional management training.
