Senior Policy Executive - Human Rights And Strategy at Australian Human Rights Commission

Darren Dick PSM serves as the Chairperson of the Welfare Rights Centre, a community legal organization focused on social security and family assistance law. In addition, Darren holds the position of Senior Policy Executive for the Australian Human Rights Commission, overseeing policy and research initiatives, strategic program direction, and compliance with legislative obligations. Previous roles include Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Unit, where Darren facilitated significant initiatives like the Close the Gap coalition, and Director at ANTAR, advocating for Indigenous rights. Darren's extensive experience also encompasses a directorial role at Participate Australia and policy positions at both the Australian Human Rights Commission and Australian Law Reform Commission.

Darren is a graduate of the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws, and completed the Company Director's Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2018.
