Carolina Castro-Sanguino currently serves as a Coral Reef Ecology Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Marine Science since February 2022. Previously, Carolina held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Queensland from February 2020 to January 2022 and as an Ecological Modeller/Consultant with The Research Foundation for State University of New York from June 2020 to July 2021, focusing on the impact of harvesting on soft coral population dynamics in The Bahamas. Carolina's experience also includes roles as a Research Scientist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Global Change Institute, and a Research Officer at The University of Queensland. Carolina completed a PhD in Marine Spatial Ecology at The University of Queensland, following a Master's degree in Molecular Marine Biology from Universidad de Los Andes and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano.
