Yashika Nand is a marine scientist and consultant currently working with the Australian Institute of Marine Science on the ReefCloud Science Extension project since December 2022. With a robust background in marine science and fisheries, Yashika served as Fisheries Coordinator and Science Coordinator at the Wildlife Conservation Society from 2010 to 2022, overseeing various programs involving community engagement and project management focused on fisheries and coral reef health. Earlier roles include Fisheries Assistant for Coral Assessment at the Ministry of Fisheries Fiji and a Field Officer, alongside volunteer work in socio-economic surveys and marine resource management. Yashika holds a Master’s Degree in Coral Reef Ecology with a focus on coral diseases and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific.
