Cecilie Duchatel

Head Of Learning Support at Australian International School Hong Kong

Cecilie Duchatel has extensive work experience in the field of education. Cecilie is currently serving as the Head of Learning Support at the Australian International School Hong Kong since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Copenhagen International School for over three decades. At Copenhagen International School, they held various roles including Middle School Learning Support Teacher, Middle & High School Learning Support Coordinator, and Middle School Learning Support Coordinator (Interim Placement). Cecilie'sresponsibilities included teaching and supporting learning support students, collaborating with teachers to develop modified curriculum, creating Individual Education Plans, administering academic achievement tests, and providing pastoral care to students. Cecilie also served as Math Teacher, Advisor, and Middle School Placement Coordinator during their tenure at the school.

Cecilie Duchatel obtained a Diploma of Teaching from the University of Sydney between 1978 and 1981. Cecilie later pursued further education and completed a Graduate Certificate in Special Education at the University of Newcastle from 2012 to 2014. Following this, they obtained a Masters in Special Education from the University of Newcastle during the period 2014-2015.
