Andrew Powell

Andrew Powell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and regulatory oversight. Currently serving as a Manager and Risk Specialist at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority since March 2020, Andrew previously spent over six years at the Bank of England, where roles included Manager and Senior Supervisor, focusing on capital analysis, retail credit risk, and resolvability for a major UK bank. Additionally, Andrew was an Analyst within the central counterparty policy team, leading initiatives on interoperability risk management. Earlier experience includes a brief tenure as an Audit and Tax Associate at Deloitte and a work experience placement at Credit Suisse. Andrew holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, completed in 2013.
