Vivek Ravisankar

Vivek Ravisankar PhD currently serves as a Senior Adviser in Critical Minerals Investment at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) since February 2025. Previously, Vivek held roles as a Senior Process Engineer at Tronox from November 2022 to February 2025, and as an Adjunct Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia from April 2021 to May 2024. Additional experience includes positions as Assistant Manager at EY and Research Manager at Environmental Clean Technologies Limited, where key research themes involved brown coal up-gradation and metal oxide reduction using coal and hydrogen. Early career highlights include a PhD Researcher role at RMIT University and a Postgraduate Researcher/Visiting Scientist position at CSIRO, following earlier education at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) and College of Engineering, Guindy. Vivek holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Mineral Engineering from RMIT University, a Master's Degree in Mineral Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
