Tom Garcia

Tom Garcia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Crime, Privacy & Resilience and previously as the Head of Product Strategy & Architecture at AustralianSuper since March 2017, Tom has demonstrated expertise in risk management and product development. Prior to this, Tom held the position of CEO and Executive Manager - Policy & Regulatory at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees from March 2011 to March 2017. Earlier career roles include Paraplanning Manager at Industry Fund Financial Planning and technical management positions at Michelin from 1999 to 2006. Tom holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from the University of Sydney, obtained between 1989 and 1992, and is an alumnus of Knox Grammar, having attended from 1983 to 1988.
