Kendra Jones, PMP, CSM

Kendra Jones, PMP, CSM has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Kendra has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise in implementation services, consulting, and project management.

Kendra's most recent position was as the Director of Implementation Services at Author-it Software Corporation, where they have been since January 2018. Prior to this role, they served as the Manager of Implementation & Consulting at the same company from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Implementation Consultant from 2008 to 2013, leading projects for both Cloud and On-Premises clients. Kendra'sresponsibilities included identifying client needs, configuring the Author-it system, developing reuse and management strategies, and providing training and support.

Before joining Author-it Software Corporation, Kendra worked at Alvarez&Marsal, LLC in 2007 as a Senior Associate in Information Planning and Design. In this role, they conducted research, designed systems architecture documents, and authored installation procedures and end-user documentation.

Kendra also has experience working as a Freelance Author-it Consultant at Info By Design from 2004 to 2007. During this time, they provided training, consulting, and implementation services for Author-it clients, configuring libraries and performing migration services.

Prior to their freelance work, Kendra worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate in US IT National Asset Management from 2006 to 2007. In this position, they managed training and documentation initiatives, developed strategies for changes in the asset management lifecycle, and wrote technical documentation for development projects.

From 2004 to 2005, Kendra worked at AnyDoc Software as a Technical Writer. Here, they used Author-it to manage documentation for Optical Character Recognition software and performed Quality Assurance testing.

Kendra began their career at Pilgrim Software in 2000 as a Project Release Team Coordinator. Kendra implemented Author-it in the Technical Publications department, trained and mentored the documentation team, and coordinated documentation tasks during software releases. Kendra also served as a Senior Writer and Team Lead for the product documentation group.

Kendra's work experience started with an internship at Cardinal Health, where they worked as a Marketing Editor from 1999 to 2000, assisting with healthcare consulting proposals.

Kendra Jones, PMP, CSM, has a solid education background. Kendra obtained their Master of Science degree in Technical Communication Management from Mercer University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Technical Writing from the University of South Florida, where they attended from 1995 to 1999.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kendra has also obtained several certifications. Kendra received the Team Kanban Practitioner certification from Kanban University in August 2019. More recently, in April 2021, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, in May 2021, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance. These certifications showcase Kendra's commitment to professional development and expertise in project management methodologies and techniques.
