Guus Sjouke has extensive work experience in various positions within different organizations. Guus is currently serving as the Director of Operations / CIO at Autoriteit Consument & Markt since May 2022. Prior to this role, Guus worked as an Interim Manager at Algemene Bestuursdienst from 2020 to 2022. Guus also held the position of Director of Information and Operations at Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit (NZa) from 2017 to 2020.
Before joining NZa, Guus served as the Head of Information Management at Joint IV Commando from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Documentary Information Services at the Ministry of Defense from 2006 to 2013. Guus also worked as an Interim Manager, Change Manager, and Consultant at Stichting Intermin from 2001 to 2006.
Their earlier experiences include being the Head of the Department of Labor Conditions and Labor Relations at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science from 1997 to 2001, and holding various policy positions, including CAO Coordinator for the government sector, at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations from 1987 to 1997.
Guus Sjouke has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bestuurskunde, Management van de Publieke Sector from Leiden University. In 2023-2024, they attended The School of Leadership by Ebbinge for a Leergang Toezicht Nieuwe Stijl program. Guus also holds a Certificaat in Elements of Artificial Intelligence & Ethics of Artificial Intelligence from the University of Helsinki. Guus has completed the Ambtelijke Professionaliteit Programma at Algemene Bestuursdienst (ABD) and the ABD programma Interim-Management & Organisatieverandering at Sioo, interuniversitair centrum voor organisatie- en veranderkunde. Guus possesses a Certificaat from the Nederlandse Defensie Academie i.s.m. Nederlands Instituut voor Internationale Betrekkingen Clingendael for the Leergang Topmanagement Defensie / Advanced Defence Course. Guus has also obtained Certificates in Leergang Coach voor Directeuren and Leergang Teamcoaching from InterCoach. Furthermore, Guus has a Certificaat in Interdepartementale Management Leergang (VII) from the Nederlandse School voor Openbaar Bestuur, NSOB. Guus holds an Akte van bekwaamheid, FB from the Nederlandse Federatie van Belastingsadviseurs. Lastly, Guus has a Diploma in HEAO Economisch-Juridisch from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
