Edith Chorev (PhD) currently serves as the Director of Data Science at AUTO1 Group and has been a teacher at Data Science Retreat since October 2019, focusing on optimization methods in Neural Networks. Prior to this, Edith held the role of Director of Data Science and Head of Data Science at FactoryPal from September 2020 to December 2023, and worked as a senior data scientist at Körber Digital for a brief period in 2020. Previous experience includes being self-employed as a data scientist and serving as a Research Fellow at Max Planck Society, where Edith explored learning processes in networks of spiking neurons. Additionally, Edith worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Humboldt University Berlin, investigating egomotion sensing and cognitive spatial mapping. Early career roles include a research assistant position at Hebrew University, which involved teaching and guest lecturing in physiology and cerebellum research. Edith Chorev earned a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where research focused on neurobiology.
