Tomi Valasvuo

Tomi Valasvuo has extensive work experience in various roles within the automotive industry. Tomi started their career at Aro-Yhtymä Oy in 1994 as a Technical Service Engineer and Warranty Manager. Tomi then moved on to Autokeskus Oy in 1998, where they worked as an Aftersales Manager and later as an IT Manager, focusing on sales applications and operations. In 2003, they joined Grey-Hen Oy as an IT Director, involved in the development of vehicle purchase inventory and intelligence systems. Tomi returned to Autokeskus Oy in 2004 as a CIO/CDO, responsible for driving the business through digitalization and collaborating with stakeholders. Tomi also briefly served as the Director of Vehicle Logistics during their time at Aro-Yhtymä Oy.

In addition to their roles at Autokeskus Oy and Aro-Yhtymä Oy, Tomi Valasvuo has held various board positions. Tomi was a Board Member/Senior Advisor at Netwheels Oy from 2017 to the present, overseeing platform provision in the automotive industry. Tomi also served as a Board Member at Aputeam Oy, providing staff leasing services for the heavy metal industry, and as a Member of the Development Division at Autoalan Keskusliitto ry/Finnish Central Organisation for Motor Trades and Repairs.

Most recently, Tomi Valasvuo joined Puriter Oy in 2022 as a Deputy Member of the Board. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information Officer at Autokeskus Oy, leading a team of sales and technical professionals and leveraging data-driven business strategies for success.

Tomi Valasvuo obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from Helsinki Institute of Technology in 1992. Tomi later pursued further education at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development, completing the Autoalan JOKO-koulutusohjelma in 2016-2017. In 2019, they gained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in eMBA from Aalto University. Additionally, they completed a program in Strategic Foresight at Aalto University in 2020. In 2019, Valasvuo also obtained a certification in Robotics Technology from UI Path Academy, specifically as a Robot Junior.
