Emanuele Buccelli

Emanuele Buccelli is a Senior JavaScript Engineer at Automattic. Emanuele has over 9 years of experience as a software engineer, working with various technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, Typescript, Angular, SQL, HTML, and CSS.

Emanuele started their career as a .NET Developer at Quasar, where they worked on designing and implementing a web application for the online sale of the company's software products. Emanuele then moved on to AXOT S.r.L. as a stagista, where they developed an ASP.NET WebForms web application combined with Telerik components for interfacing with third-party APIs. After their time at AXOT, Emanuele took a stage at Comune di Cervia, where they worked on various development projects.

In May 2015, Emanuele joined Alexide srl as a Software Engineer. Emanuele spent two years there, working on upgrading and maintaining a big e-commerce site. In April 2017, they joined FastCode S.P.A. as a Software Engineer .NET/JS. Emanuele spent four years there, working on upgrading and maintaining a big e-commerce site, before joining Automattic in September 2021.

Emanuele Buccelli has a Laurea magistrale LM in Ingegneria e Scienze Informatiche from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. Emanuele also has a Dottore in Scienze e Tecnologie Informatiche from the same school. Emanuele has a certification from Michael Milanovic in First Certificate in English (FCE).

They are on a team with Jim Weise - Engineer, Allison Levine - JavaScript Engineer, and George Jeng - Trial Technical Product Manager. Emanuele Buccelli reports to Beau Lebens, Head of Product Engineering.
