Nasser Arbabi has a diverse work experience history. Nasser started their career as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles in July 2017, where they stayed until August 2018. Nasser then joined the Composites Research Network in May 2018 as a Research Assistant. During their time there, they developed a statistical representation model for composites and built an open-source web-based material simulation application. This project won him the American Society of Composites student simulation award in 2019.

In 2020, Nasser moved on to AutoMetrics Manufacturing Technologies Inc, where they took on the role of Full-stack Developer. Nasser was responsible for a range of tasks, such as designing the Django backend for real-time data pipeline and anomaly detection models, supervising a team to build a React-based UI, developing a manufacturing execution software based on Django, and designing and deploying a React-based user interface for welding simulation software. After a year in this position, they were promoted to the Lead of software development in April 2021.

Nasser Arbabi has a diverse education history in the field of engineering and materials science. Nasser began their academic journey at the University of Tabriz, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2013. Following the completion of their bachelor's degree, they furthered their studies at the University of Tehran, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2017. Nasser's pursuit of knowledge continued at The University of British Columbia, where they are currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy program in Materials Engineering, starting in 2018.

In addition to their academic accomplishments in engineering, Nasser expanded their skill set by venturing into the realm of business and technology commercialization. In 2020 and 2021, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Science and Technology Commercialization at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. This further demonstrates their commitment to developing a well-rounded foundation of knowledge and expertise in multiple areas of interest.
