Murtada has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge in the United States Army's 10th Mountain Division from 2009 to 2014. Murtada then worked as a Consultant for a Fintech Company from 2016 to 2018, followed by a role as a Consultant at ChapmanBlack in 2018. Murtada joined Priority1 as a Manager in 2019 and later became a COO at Block Harbor Cybersecurity in 2021. Murtada held various positions at Block Harbor Cybersecurity, including VP, Vice President Of Business Development, and Vice President of Emerging Markets. In 2019, Murtada also became a member of the Automotive Security Research Group (ASRG), where they served as the Detroit Chapter President and ASRG-D Lead. Murtada joined the Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA) as a member in 2020. In 2023, Murtada became a Strategic Partner Liaison at Auto-ISAC and an Executive in Residence at the American Center for Mobility, where they focused on strategizing and planning to advance safe, sustainable, and secure mobility technologies.
Murtada's education history includes a Masters of Science in Technology Leadership (MSTL) with a focus on Data Analytics & Machine Learning from Brown University. Murtada also pursued studies in Global Leadership, Innovation & Technology at IE Business School. Murtada has acquired language skills in Persian, Dari, and Arabic (9 dialects) at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Additionally, they hold certifications such as CySA+, Security+, Network+, and PMP from various institutions.
