David Riott

David Riott has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David currently holds a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Automox. Prior to this, they worked at Nordstrom as a Software Engineer Senior II, where they led software development initiatives and served as the subject matter expert for the Payments team. David also mentored and trained engineers, improved team performance, and standardized inter-system communications. Earlier in their career, David was a Software Engineer II at Nordstrom, where they built a cloud-native fraud ecosystem with high accuracy. David also worked at Vertafore as a Senior Software Engineer, leading platform-critical teams and driving cross-product integrations. At Beeline, David was a Java Developer, where they pushed the boundaries of microservice development and contributed to modernizing the application. David also has experience as a Student Mentor and Educator at Skill Distillery, an On-Demand Valet Agent at ZIRX, and a Server & Bartender at Leopold's SF, among other roles. Additionally, David has research experience as a Climate Change Research Associate at the University of Colorado.

David Riott attended Shawnee Mission East High School from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their High School Diploma. During their time there, they focused on Mathematics and Environmentalism. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2009 to 2013. David earned their Bachelor's Degree with a major in Disease Ecology and Climate Change, along with minors in Music Production and French.

In addition to their formal education, David Riott pursued further certifications to enhance their skills. In 2015, they obtained the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer certification from Oracle. In 2018, they completed the WebSocket Programming with Java EE certification from LinkedIn. Most recently, in April 2020, they acquired the Introduction to Kubernetes certification from The Linux Foundation (LFS158x).

David Riott continued their education and skill development beyond traditional academic institutions, attending Skill Distillery to study Java and Full-Stack Development. However, no specific start or end dates were provided for this program.
