Joshua Kwan

Joshua Kwan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Joshua began their career at Canwest Publishing Inc. in 2008 as a Directory Assistant. In 2009, they worked as a Quality Assurance Co-op at Thales Rail Signalling Systems.

In 2011, Joshua joined Xtreme Labs Inc. as an Agile Software Engineer, where they developed and published iOS applications for various clients. Joshua also led meetings with clients and established coding styles and app architecture.

Joshua's next role was at Pivotal Labs, where they started as a Senior Software Engineer in 2013. Joshua later became an Engineering Manager, leading a team of 50 engineers. In this role, they built relationships with direct reports, mentored them in achieving their career goals, and represented their needs to senior management. Joshua also led the development and release of a connected vehicle app that spanned multiple brands and regions globally.

Currently, Joshua works at Autonomic, where they have taken on increasingly senior roles. Joshua started as a Software Engineer in 2017, then became a Senior Software Engineer in 2018, followed by a Software Engineering Manager in 2019. In 2020, they were promoted to Senior Engineering Manager, and in 2021, they assumed the position of Director of Engineering.

Joshua Kwan completed their high school education at Trenton High School. Joshua then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering (B.A.Sc) in Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2011. Prior to their university studies, they also engaged in continuing education at Ryerson University from 2004 to 2006, although they did not specify a degree name for this period.
