Andrew Saxsma

Andrew Saxsma is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system engineering, particularly in the automotive and mining sectors. Currently serving as Principal System Engineer and Lead System and Safety Engineer at AutonomouStuff since June 2018, Andrew specializes in drive-by-wire systems. Prior to this role, Andrew worked at Morton Automatic Electric Company, designing and maintaining test systems using the NI platform, and spent 18 years at Caterpillar Inc. where Andrew advanced through various roles focusing on embedded systems and software development for heavy machinery. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by practical engineering experience gained during a cooperative education program at S&C Electric Company.
