Raúl Moreno Salinas has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of data science and machine learning. From 2022 to the present, they have been a Data Scientist at autoRetouch (acquired by Meero). From 2018 to 2022, they were a Research Engineer and Data Scientist at ArcelorMittal, where they applied machine learning to the metallurgy industry, additive manufacturing, and material science. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, where they conducted research in machine learning, deep learning, and predictive models for plasma instabilities in Nuclear Fusion. From 2016 to the present, they have been a Visiting Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, teaching Digital Image Processing and Linear Networks Analysis and Synthesis. From 2011 to 2016, they were a PhD Student at CIEMAT, researching data mining applied to nuclear fusion massive databases. In 2011, they completed a research internship at the Joint European Torus (JET) - EUROfusion.

Raúl Moreno Salinas earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Universidad de Córdoba in 2011. Raúl then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Systems and Control Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. in 2012. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in System and Control Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. in 2015. In addition, Raúl has obtained various certifications, including Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLOps) Specialization from DeepLearning.AI in 2022, Deep Reinforcement Learning Nanodegree from Udacity in 2022, Deep Learning Nanodegree Program from Udacity in 2018, Introduction to HADOOP and MAPREDUCE processing from CIEMAT in 2014, Machine Learning - Stanford University from Coursera in 2013, Graphs, statistics and data mining with Python from CIEMAT in 2013, Supercomputing activities and MPI OPENMP programming at EULER-CIEMAT cluster from CIEMAT in 2012, Writing in the Sciences - Stanford University from Coursera in 2012, and Advanced English from Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (Cordoba).
