Martin van Rijn has held several prominent positions in both the public and private sectors, currently serving as the Voorzitter Raad van Toezicht at Autoriteit Financiële Markten since May 2019 and as the Voorzitter of Aedes since September 2020. Martin van Rijn previously acted as Minister voor Medische Zorg en Sport at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport for a brief period in 2020. Other significant roles include serving as Voorzitter Raad van Bestuur at Reinier Haga Groep from November 2017 to March 2020, and Staatssecretaris at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport from 2012 to 2017. Martin van Rijn's earlier career includes leadership as CEO of PGGM from 2008 to 2012 and Directeur Generaal at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport from 2003 to 2008. Academic credentials include a degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, obtained between 1974 and 1980.
