Katrine Marcussen has a diverse education history. Katrine started their education at Birkerød Gymnasium, where they received the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma from 2005 to 2008. Katrine then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Business Studies and Human Resource Management from the University of Stirling, completing it in the years 2008 to 2012.

Afterward, they furthered their education at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics and Business Administration with a specialization in Management of People. This degree was earned between 2012 and 2015. In 2014, Katrine attended Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) for a brief period to focus on International Business studies.

Katrine continued to expand their knowledge and skills by enrolling in a Mini Master program on SMARTnership Negotiation at the Center of Negotiation in 2019. In 2020, they attended Copenhagen Business School to pursue a Master of Business Development degree, selecting the field of study as Managing Open Innovation.

Additionally, Katrine holds an ITIL® Foundation V3 certification which they obtained in April 2017 from ITIL.
