Stephen Hughes

Stephen Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Stephen is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Autotech Group since 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at Autotech Recruit from 2011 to 2020, where they also served as the Operations Director from 2011 to 2020. Prior to Autotech Recruit, they worked as a Sales Consultant at RIG Automotive Recruit from 2009 to 2011. Stephen's career began at Torex in 1997, where they started as a Visual Basic Programmer and eventually became the Software Development Manager in 2003. Stephen focused on developing the Active Business Series for Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) in the hospitality and leisure industry. Before Torex, they worked at Gen-2-Systems as a Senior Programmer/Analyst from 1995 to 1997, developing software for monitoring CNC machine productivity. Their earlier experience includes working at Hunting Engineering Ltd as a Quality and Reliability Programmer/Analyst from 1994 to 1995, and as a Sponsored Student from 1990 to 1994. Stephen's strong background in software development and operations management positions him well for roles in various industries.

Stephen Hughes attended Sharnbrook Upper School and Community College from 1985 to 1990, where they studied Computer Studies, Design & Geography A Levels. Stephen then went on to Lancaster University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bsc (Hons) degree in Computer Science.
