Mingcheng Chen

Mingcheng Chen is a Head of Perception at AutoX, responsible for releasing a new perception system from scratch. They previously worked as a Tech Lead at Waymo and a Software Engineer at X. Mingcheng also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as various internships at Google, VMware, and Microsoft. They hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Mingcheng also spent time as a visiting student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
