Diego Rapela

Diego Rapela has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Diego is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at AUVESY GmbH since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Körber Digital from 2019 to 2021, initially as the VP of Engineering and then as the VP of Application Foundation. Before Körber Digital, they were employed at connyun GmbH as a Senior IoT Engineer from 2017 to 2018, where they focused on machine connectivity and led technical initiatives using Azure IoT technologies, OPC UA, MQTT, etc. Diego also has experience working at SAP SE as a Development Architect from 2005 to 2017, at ABB AG as a Scientist from 2004 to 2005, and at Interactive Objects Software GmbH as a Senior Consultant from 2000 to 2004. Diego began their career as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Blas Pascal from 1995 to 1997.

Diego Rapela completed their Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Católica de Córdoba from 1988 to 1994. Diego then pursued further education and obtained a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Robotics from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba between 1996 and 2001. Additionally, they attended Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1998 to 2000, focusing on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering without obtaining a degree.
