Axel Hammar

Axel Hammar currently serves as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Risk Officer at AV AirFinance since May 2021. Prior to this, Axel was Senior Vice President at Volito Aviation Services AB from August 2013 to May 2021, where Axel was involved in a buyout transition and was responsible for marketing and asset-backed debt transactions. Axel also acted as Project Manager during a joint venture exit with Goldman Sachs, enhancing skills in portfolio management and equity sourcing. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions at Statoil, and project-related positions at Lunds Energi AB and Trelleborg Protective Products. Axel holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, along with participation in an ERASMUS Exchange Program at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Génie Industriel.
