Alex Shiling

Alex Shiling has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). They have held positions at various companies, starting with Avadel Pharmaceuticals plc in 2022 as a Senior MSL in Rare Disease Neurology. Prior to that, in 2021, they worked at EUSA Pharma/Recordati Rare Diseases as an MSL in Rare Disease Hematology/Oncology.

In 2020, Alex worked at Kedrion Biopharma as an MSL in Rare Disease Hematology. Their responsibilities included building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), delivering scientific presentations, organizing workshops, and overseeing the hematology franchise's publications. They also evaluated clinical literature to inform strategic decision-making.

Alex Shiling completed their education at several institutions. They first attended Tidewater Community College in 2013, where they studied Applied Science. In 2014, they transferred to Central Piedmont Community College to pursue an Applied Science degree. In 2015, Alex enrolled in Temple University School of Pharmacy, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and a Master of Science in Global Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Regulations.

Throughout their education, Alex also obtained various certifications. In 2017, they received the APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunizations Delivery Certificate. In 2018, they completed the Clinical Research Track Certificate of Completion from Temple University School of Pharmacy and the Tobacco Cessation - Behavioral Counseling and Pharmacotherapy Certificate from the United States Public Health Service. Finally, in 2019, Alex obtained the License to Administer Injectables and became a certified Pharmacist through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. They also hold a CPR Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, which was obtained in 2017.
