Emily Abernathy

Emily Abernathy is a Bioinformatician at Avalo, Inc., with previous experience as a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Davis, where the dissertation focused on conservation genetics and population genomics of wild birds of prey. Key achievements include designing a scientific study utilizing whole-genome sequencing, managing genetic sample organization, presenting research findings at international conferences, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Emily also served as a Teaching Assistant, effectively communicating complex biological concepts and providing feedback on student assignments.
