Haiping Hong

Haiping Hong currently serves as the Director of Plant Improvement at Avalo, Inc., starting in May 2022. Prior experience includes over two decades at BASF, where roles ranged from GH Breeding Leader to Applied Genetics Manager, focusing on trait development and molecular breeding across various crops. Haiping has also contributed as a Research Scientist, achieving multiple patents and awards in tissue culture and molecular characterization. Previous positions include Biologist at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Sr. Research Associate at the Plant Biotechnology Institute, with a foundational education in Applied Plant Biotechnology from the University of Saskatchewan, obtained in 1995.
