Pamela Stahl

As President of Avalon Healthcare Solutions, Pamela is responsible for providing strategic leadership and advancing the company’s mission and vision, while maximizing revenue, profitability, and growth of the organization.

Pamela has extensive healthcare experience from the world’s largest health insurers and pharmaceutical companies to VC backed and early-stage start up organizations. Prior to joining Avalon, Pamela served as President and Global Chief Commercial Officer of Sidekick Health, an innovative, Iceland-based digital therapeutics platform company. She was responsible for developing the US market entry strategy, delivering top line revenue and profitability, and leading the enterprise marketing team responsible for international patient acquisition and partnership strategies with major pharmaceutical companies.

Before joining Sidekick, Pamela served as President and CEO of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia where she was responsible for their 3rd largest commercial health plan with $2.7B in revenue and 1.3M members. She also enjoyed an 11-year career at UnitedHealth Group where she held a number of positions including CEO of its Wisconsin Medicaid business, Senior Vice President of Consumer Strategy, Senior Vice President of Sales Operations and Organizational Effectiveness, and Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Pamela began her career at Merck & Co. as a hospital sales representative and quickly advanced into broader commercial leadership roles. She was asked to join the founding team that built and established Astra Merck and served in various leadership roles throughout the company evolution to AstraZeneca. She also served as an officer of Orphan Medical where she led the launch of their flagship product, Xyrem, and was a key executive in the sale of the company to Jazz Pharmaceuticals. She also established commercial strategies and teams at a privately held pioneering telemedicine company, American Telecare, and a spinal cord injury device company, InVivo Therapeutics.

Pamela has a B.S. from St. Olaf College. In addition, she currently sits on the following boards, the Emory Center for Ethics, the Woodruff Arts Foundation, and the Atlanta Midtown Alliance.
