Dominic del Degan

Dominic Del Degan's work experience begins in 2001 as an Assistant in the Faculty of Criminal Law at the University of St.Gallen. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Trainee Lawyer at Grand & Nisple. Dominic then joined Glaus & Partner as an Attorney At Law from 2004 to 2007.

In 2007, Dominic joined UBS as a Legal Counsel and held multiple roles during their tenure. From 2007 to 2008, they served as a Legal Counsel in Legal Operations and Legal Securities Services. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Legal Counsel in UHNW & Wealth Planning, where they played a significant role in coordinating the defense against multibillion dollar claims related to the Madoff Ponzi scheme. In 2014, Dominic was part of an interdisciplinary team at UBS that focused on a global legal entity restructuring project.

Since 2015, Dominic has been working at Avaloq. Dominic started as the Head Risk & Compliance Europe from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Head Group Legal Contracting, where they lead a high-performing legal contracting department of up to 10 legal counsels. Dominic is responsible for negotiating contracts with banking clients and prospects.

Dominic Del Degan earned a Licentiate degree in Law from the University of St.Gallen in 2002. Dominic later obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law from the University of Zurich between 2004 and 2006. In 2003, they gained admission to the Swiss Bar from the Superior Court Canton Sankt Gallen.
