Ignacio S. Galán

Ignacio S. Galán is the current Chairman at Avangrid. Prior to this, they served as the Group Director of Business Origination at Iberdrola from February 2007 to November 2013, where they were responsible for corporate development and had a lead role in relationships with other strategics, infrastructure funds, investment banks, and institutions. Before Iberdrola, Galán worked at Roland Berger from January 2004 to December 2006 as a Senior Manager in the Energy and industrials strategy practice, where they focused on mergers and acquisitions, process re-engineering, and emerging market entry. From 2001 to 2002, they were a Senior Associate / Manager at Oliver Wyman. In 2003, they founded and became the Chief Operating Officer of Kids at Work, S.A., a position they held until 2005. From 1997 to 1998, Galán served as the Technical Counsellor to the Minister in the Government of Spain's Environment Ministry.
