Betsy Enstrom

Betsy Enstrom has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Betsy is currently employed at Avania as a Manager of Biostatistics since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at SAS for over 15 years, starting as a Research Statistician Developer (2007-2010). In this role, they researched and developed software and techniques for Bayesian statistical models. Betsy then transitioned to the position of Senior Data Scientist/Data Analyst (2010-2014), where they strategically analyzed large amounts of data and received recognition for their work in data visualization and analytics. Lastly, they served as a Manager of Data Science at SAS (2014-2022), overseeing advanced analytics research and utilizing quantitative techniques to solve business problems. Prior to their tenure at SAS, Betsy worked as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Statistical and Mathematical Applied Sciences Institute (2007-2008) and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment (2005-2007).

From 2005 to 2008, they attended Duke University and studied Statistics. Betsy did not complete a specific degree during this time.

Before that, from 2003 to 2004, they pursued their Master's degree in Statistics at North Carolina State University.
