Matthew Britt, MEM, has extensive work experience in the healthcare and clinical research industry. Matthew is currently working as the Director of Clinical Operations (US) at Avania since July 2020. Prior to this, they held various roles at Covance, starting as a Clinical Evaluation Associate in October 2004 and gradually progressing to the position of Project Director / Associate Director, Project Management. Matthew transitioned to Covance when it acquired Chiltern in September 2017, where they were working as a Project Director. Before joining Chiltern, Matthew worked at Theorem as a Senior Project Manager until it was acquired by Chiltern in September 2015. Matthew also has experience as a Director of Clinical Affairs at SPIRITT from August 2012 to February 2014. Additionally, Matthew has worked at Medtronic as a Senior Clinical Research Specialist, Clinical Trial Manager, Trial Lead, and Clinical Research Associate from October 2004 to August 2011. Matthew started their career as a Biomedical Engineer intern at GSK and Lake Regional Health System in 2004 and 2003, respectively. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in clinical operations, project management, and medical device development.

Matthew Britt obtained their High School Diploma in College/University Preparatory from Oakville Sr. High School, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University, completing their degree from 2000 to 2004. Matthew then furthered their education at Christian Brothers University, where they earned a Master's degree in Engineering Management between 2005 and 2008. Additionally, Matthew has obtained various certifications, including "15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management (getAbstract Summary)," "Be the Manager People Won't Leave," "Developing Leadership Presence," "Giving Your Elevator Pitch," and "Managing High Potentials" from LinkedIn. Matthew is also a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
