Chamara Manamperi has held a variety of roles in the telecommunications industry since 2000. Chamara began their career at Ernst & Young as a Management Consulting Executive. Chamara then moved to Suntel Ltd, where they held the roles of Head of International and Regulatory Affairs & Special Projects, and Business Controller-Network & IT. In 2006, they joined Singtel Optus as an Initiative Manager-Business Improvement & Systems/ Strategy & Architecture, Bids-Commercial Evaluation/Mobile Marketing, and Billing/Revenue Assurance. In 2011, they moved to Bharti Airtel Limited, where they were Head of Zonal Operations and Head of Service Operations. In 2012, they joined Dialog Axiata PLC as Head of Corporate Planning & Business Transformation. In 2016, they moved to Robi Axiata Limited, where they were Head of Corporate Strategy & New Business Development (EVP). Most recently, in 2021, they joined Avanseus as Head -APAC Sales.

Chamara Manamperi has a comprehensive educational background. Chamara began their studies in 1986 at Royal College and continued until 1993. In 1995, they earned a BSc in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, which they completed in 2000. Chamara also earned an Attorney At Law degree from Sri Lanka Law College during this time. In 1997, Manamperi began studying for an MBA in Business Administration at the University of Colombo, which they completed in 2005. Chamara also obtained an MBCS in Computing from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2000, an FCCA in Chartered Accountancy from ACCA in 1999, an MCIM,Dip M in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 1997, and an ACMA in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1994.
