Victor D. O. Santos, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of language assessment and research. Victor is the author of the award-winning children's book series "Little Polyglot Adventures" and other picture books. Victor founded Linguacious and served as the Chief Innovation and Product Officer. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Assessment and Research at Avant Assessment and also held the role of Data and Assessment Manager. Victor has taught at Iowa State University as an Instructor and worked as a Research Assistant for the English Placement Test. Victor has also worked as a Consultant for Brazilian Portuguese in standard-setting at ACTFL/Defense Language Institute and served as an intern at various organizations such as Mango Languages, Lingua.ly, Cambridge Michigan Language Assessment, and Second Language Testing Inc.

Victor D. O. Santos, Ph.D. has a diverse education history in the field of linguistics and technology. In 2005, they obtained their B.A. in Linguistics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Moving forward, they pursued an ICELT (In-service Certificate in English Language Teaching) from the University of Cambridge in 2008. In 2009, they started their MS in Language Science and Technology at the Universität des Saarlandes and was the recipient of one of the 19 worldwide European Commission scholarships. Victor completed their MS in Computational Linguistics at the University of Groningen in 2011.

Continuing their academic journey, Santos pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Linguistics and Technology (with honors) from Iowa State University, completing the program in 2017. Alongside their formal education, Santos also obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. In 2014, they participated in the "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" course offered by Coursera. Victor also obtained a certification in "Empretec - Inspiring Entrepreneurship" from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in the same year. Additionally, in 2015, Santos completed the "Gamification" course on Coursera.

Overall, Santos has obtained a strong academic background and pursued additional certifications to broaden their knowledge and skills in the areas of linguistics, technology, and entrepreneurship.
