Austin Chen

Austin Chen has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Austin began their career at Winbond Electronics Corporation in 1994, working as an R&D engineer and project manager. Austin then joined Cabot Microelectronics in 1997, where they held various roles including regional business director and global business director. At Cabot Microelectronics, they were responsible for managing the dielectrics business and establishing long-term plans for dielectric products. In 2006, they joined Honeywell as a regional sales director before moving to DOW Electronic Materials in 2008, where they served as the regional GM and strategic marketing manager. Most recently, Chen joined Avantor Performance Materials Inc. in 2013 as the managing director.

Austin Chen earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in 1984. Austin then obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University from 1984 to 1986. Austin went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing their studies in 1994. Additionally, Austin has obtained a certification in EMBA Finance Programs at INSEAD from INSEAD Executive Education, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
