Chris Holmes

Chris Holmes has a long and diverse work experience in procurement and sourcing roles. Chris currently serves as the Senior Vice President Global Sourcing at Avantor, where they are responsible for the sourcing of direct materials and distributed products worldwide. Prior to this, Chris worked at Novartis in various procurement leadership positions, including Global Head of Procurement Strategy & Innovation and Head of Supplier Performance & Innovation. Chris has also held roles at QP Group, First Carton Group, Caradon plc, and Caradon Everest, where they gained experience in category management, purchasing, and budget responsibility. Overall, Chris has a wealth of experience in driving sustainable procurement practices and implementing strategic sourcing strategies.

Chris Holmes holds an MBA in Strategy & Procurement from the University of Birmingham, which they completed from 1997 to 1999. Chris also studied Business Studies at the University of Sunderland from 1985 to 1987. Prior to their university education, Chris attended Easingwold School. In addition to their degrees, Chris has obtained several certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma Foundations and various courses from LinkedIn, including Design Thinking, Strategic Mentoring, and Building Resilience.
