Claudius O. Sokenu

Claudius Sokenu, LL.M (Lond.), currently serves as the EVP, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance and Regulatory Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Avantor since July 2023, overseeing the company's global legal, corporate secretary, ethics, and compliance functions. Prior to Avantor, Claudius held various legal leadership roles including General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer at Unisys, where responsibilities encompassed legal affairs, governance, corporate development, and ESG initiatives. Claudius is also a Fellow at the American College of Governance Counsel, promoting governance standards among legal professionals. Additional experience includes vital positions at Cognizant, Andeavor, and several prominent law firms, as well as early career work at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Educational background includes multiple LL.M degrees from prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University Law Center and King's College London, along with a Bachelor of Laws from London South Bank University.
